Ingredients
- 70g lean beef mince
- a quarter of a tin of lentils, drained
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 small carrot, grated
- half an onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove
- 70g dry wholewheat spaghetti (180g cooked)
- 1 tsp rapeseed oil
Method
- 1Brown the mince with the onion and carrot in the oil for 6 minutes.
- 2Add the garlic, tomatoes and 100ml water and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 3Stir in the lentils and cook for 3 minutes.
- 4Cook the pasta, drain, and serve with the sauce.
Swaps and tips
- Use all lentils for a vegetarian version, or turkey mince for lower fat.
