What we are
My Meal Science is a nutrition and lifestyle platform. We turn the goals, preferences and health context you tell us about into personalised meal plans, recipes and general nutrition information.
What we are not
- We are not a clinic, and we do not provide medical care.
- We do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
- Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.
- Sarah and James, who appear in our content, are AI-generated presenters. They are not doctors, nutritionists, or clinicians, and they have no personal medical history.
How we handle health information
If you tell us about a health context (for example, a condition, a life stage, or a symptom), we use it to weight your meal plan — for example, prioritising fibre and steadier carbohydrate portions for blood-sugar-conscious eating. This is nutrition support, not treatment. We also run a safety check on every profile:
- Supported or Supported with guardrails — we generate a plan, with relevant safety notes
- Professional guidance recommended — we keep plans general and avoid condition-specific claims
- Clinician guidance required or Not supported — we do not generate a personalised plan, and recommend you speak to a healthcare professional
Hard constraints you tell us, like allergies, are always excluded from every meal we suggest. Even so, always check ingredient labels yourself — our recipe data can be incomplete or out of date.
Speak to a healthcare professional if:
- You have a diagnosed medical condition, including diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, thyroid conditions, low testosterone, anaemia, or an eating disorder
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or in the early postpartum weeks
- You take medication that interacts with diet (for example, blood thinners, diabetes or blood-pressure medication)
- You are considering a significant change to your diet
- Something feels wrong — new, sudden or worsening symptoms need medical attention, not a meal plan
Content, video and social media
Videos and posts from Sarah and James are general nutrition education, not personal advice for your situation. Where we mention traditional or home remedies (for example, herbal teas), we describe them as general food information, not as a treatment for any symptom or condition, and we note relevant safety considerations (for example, interactions with medication).
